| On Wednesday, 29.11.2023 from 8 h to 9 h, the telephone numbers listed below will be unavailable from outside for a short period of 10 to a maximum of 30 minutes. For external callers, there will be a busy tone or an announcement that the caller cannot be reached. Existing connections from or to outside will be disconnected. The following numbers are affected: +49 40/8998-0 (0000-9999) (Campus Hamburg) +49 40/8994-0 (0000-9999) (Fax) +49 33762/77-0 (000-999) (Campus Zeuthen) Internal telephony will not be affected. The DESY mobile phones will also continue to be reachable from DESY devices under the direct dial number 66-9-xxxx. The reason for this is the relocation of the firewall for telephony to a separate data network. This is a precautionary measure to make the telephone system less dependent on other data networks in the event of an attack. As a result, telephony can function continuously in the event of an attack or be brought back online much more quickly than is currently the case.
