| Di 2020-03-10 09:00 | in progress | Partial Malfunction of the Atlassian Tool Confluence Currently we observe problems when editing web sites using the Atlassian Wiki Tool Confluence (https://confluence.desy.de). This means, if a page is saved you won't get the same page later again but some random previous version of it, so changes are lost. Therefore, please check the page content of a revised version with the content of the updated version before you save the page. We are working on a solution to this problem together with the manufacturer. | Do 2024-10-17 11:25 | Blocking of the commercial Anaconda Inc. repositories Access to commercial channels and software repositories of Anaconda Inc. has been blocked DESY-wide with immediate effect. Anaconda Inc. meanwhile considers research institutions like DESY as commercial users, for which corresponding usage fees apply. To prevent accidental use of non-free services it has been decided to block access to the Anaconda Inc. repositories (repo.anaconda.com) from the DESY network with immediate effect. Existing conda environments and the Windows DSM installations will not be affected. Access to conda-forge and all other free channels hosted on anaconda.org will still be possible. Only the access to the non-free anaconda channels and download of the Anaconda Inc. provided installers (anaconda, miniconda) will not be possible anymore. We recommend to use miniforge (https://github.com/conda-forge/miniforge) instead. Please get in touch with UCO (uco@desy.de) in the very unlikely case of problems due to the blocking of the commercial anaconda channels. more information about this entry | ~~~ | Di 2024-11-12 13:43 |

Access to these services is already only possible via the internal network. The service will be switched off completely at the end of May. Temporary continued operation in read-only mode is conditional on any security vulnerabilities becoming known, which could necessitate a short-term shutdown in consultation with D4.
